Price of Optical Cable Splicing Box

Optical cable splicing boxes typically range from $20 for small indoor units to over $200 for high-capacity or outdoor enclosures.

• Small Indoor Splice Boxes: Basic wall-mounted enclosures for 6–12 fibers, suitable for FTTH or small network rooms, generally cost $20–$50 on platforms like Amazon . These boxes often include LC couplers and are designed for single-mode or multimode fibers.

• Medium-Capacity Distribution Boxes: Enclosures supporting 24–72 fibers, with multiple splice trays and ports for pigtails and splitters, are priced around $80–$150 depending on features like waterproofing, UV resistance, and impact resistance . These are suitable for inline or branch connections in optical networks.

• High-Capacity or Outdoor Enclosures: Large splice closures accommodating 72–144 fibers, with multiple layers for splitting, splicing, and storage, can cost $150–$250 or more. These enclosures are typically IP65/IP68 rated, weatherproof, and suitable for pole, wall, or underground mounting .

• Specialized or Rack-Mountable Units: FO splice boxes designed for 12–24 fibers in a 19" 1U rack, with quick-release fasteners and Grade B pigtails, are priced around $100–$200, depending on brand and compliance with standards like EN 61300 .

1. Fiber Capacity: Higher fiber counts increase cost due to larger trays and more ports.
2. Environmental Rating: Outdoor-rated, waterproof, and UV-resistant enclosures are more expensive.
3. Mounting Options: Wall, pole, or underground mounting flexibility can affect price.
4. Brand and Certification: Certified enclosures from reputable manufacturers may cost more but offer better durability and compliance with industry standards.

In summary, the price of an optical cable splicing box varies widely based on capacity, environmental protection, and features, ranging from $20 for small indoor boxes to over $200 for high-capacity outdoor enclosures .
